This June, Welsh Rugby legend Gareth Thomas is taking on the Three Peaks challenge to raise money for Terrence Higgins Trust.
He’ll be joined along the way by our Chief Executive, Richard Angell, our Director of Income Generation, Christine Neubeiser, and our Head of Terrence Higgins Trust Cymru, Rhys Goode.
Rhys and Richard are climbing the tallest mountain in Wales to raise money for Terrence Higgins Trust Cymru's vital work to end new cases of HIV in Wales by 2030. Christine is fundraising across this year by walking an astonishing 2,030 miles – and will cover 24 miles across her two days of climbing Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and Scaffel Pike.
The challenge will see Gareth and the TackleHIV team take on the tallest mountains across Wales, England and Scotland. They are fundraising as part of our 2030 challenge which asks individuals and community groups to raise £2,030 for Terrence Higgins Trust to support our work to end new cases of HIV in the UK by 2030.
Tackle HIV was launched by Gareth Thomas in partnership with Terrence Higgins Trust and ViiV Healthcare in 2020 to break down the stigma that still surrounds HIV.
- Are you wanting to take on the 2030 challenge? Or are you looking for fundraising inspiration? With your support we can end new cases of HIV in the UK by 2030.
