Today we launch our sexual health and HIV manifesto alongside over 30 other organisations, including National AIDS Trust (NAT) and Prepster.
This election comes at a crucial time for the nation’s sexual health and we stand united in demanding action from the next Government.
Here’s our eight point plan to stand up for sexual health:
- Deliver the commitment to ending new HIV transmissions by 2030.
- Commit to a national sexual health strategy.
- Commit to ending HIV stigma and discrimination.
- Fully fund sexual health services.
- Invest in training and resources for LGBT-inclusive relationships and sex education lessons.
- Ensure routine access to anti-HIV drug PrEP by no later than April 2020.
- Ensure the health and social care system supports people living with HIV.
- Guarantee that migrants living with or at risk of HIV have access to HIV treatment and prevention, regardless of their status.
But we need your help to make this a reality. The general election is coming up and we need you to encourage your local candidates to stand up for sexual health.
