The Friends Network is an exclusive group of our most generous and influential supporters.
Each member of our exclusive Friends Network makes an annual gift to Terrence Higgins Trust of over £1,000.
Since our very beginning, Friends have been incredibly important to us. We are where we are today thanks to the dedication of Terry Higgins’ friends and partner, who in 1982 came together to help others in his memory.
We’ve come a long way since then, and so has our network of Friends. In 1994, Paul Gambaccini invited 300 close friends and supporters to each donate £1,000 to make up a £300,000 reduction in funding. This core group became known as the 300 Club, forming what we know today as the Friends Network.
Since then, our Friends Network has continuously helped us to achieve our ambitious goals and shown their commitment to ending HIV transmission in the UK.
To express our huge gratitude, we offer a bespoke range of ways to engage with Terrence Higgins Trust. The highlights include:
To become a Friend or for further information, please contact the Friends team at friends@tht.org.uk or on 020 7812 1729.
£1,000 could pay for 4,167 condom packs, which remain crucial in stopping the spread of HIV.
£2,500 could pay for 250 HIV self test kits. Knowing your HIV status helps you to make informed decisions about your health and future.
£5,000 could pay for 41 new Positive Voices speakers to be trained or 45 sessions to be delivered by the Positive Voices speakers, raising awareness and helping to combat stigma.
Quote textIt is so humbling to see so many Friends, old and new, supporting Terrence Higgins Trust – some in memory, some in solidarity, some in hope, all standing side by side with people living with HIV and passionately defending our cause.
